Executive Team

  • Sue Thirlwall

    Chief Executive Officer & President

    Sue Thirlwall joined MiniLuxe in 2011. Ms. Thirlwall is a veteran in the foodservice, retail and franchise arenas. Most recently, she was CEO and President of Franchise Concepts and Ventures. Prior to joining us, she served as the Brand Operating Officer for the Baskin-Robbins brand at Dunkin' Brands. Sue held a variety of senior executive, operations and concept development positions at the territory and national levels at Pepsico/Tricon/YUM! Brands. Additionally, Sue was a Manager at Deloitte and Touche's Management Consulting practice where she worked with leading retail and consumer product companies.

    Sue received her BS from the University of Southern California and her MBA from Harvard University. She began her working life at age 15 with franchisees.

  • Donna Charloff

    Director of Training and Service Development

    Donna Charloff has been our Director of Training and Service Development since our formation. She joined MiniLuxe Inc. in March of 2008 as Director of Training and Development.

    Prior to joining MiniLuxe Inc., Donna was a senior nail technician at Beaucage, a high-end day spa and salon in Boston, MA.

  • Michele Santell

    Manager of Quality Assurance and Customer Service

    Michele Santell has been our Manager of Quality Assurance and Customer Service since our formation. She joined MiniLuxe Inc. in August 2008 as Manager of Retail Operations.

    In 2009, she transitioned to Manager of Quality Assurance and Customer Service. Prior to MiniLuxe Inc., Michele was a Manager at Irresistibles, a chain of 13 apparel stores largely in the greater Boston area. Michele has a long career in retail merchandising and management.

  • Anna Jedrey

    Manager of Human Resources, Supply Chain, & Administration

    Anna Jedrey has been with MiniLuxe since 2009. She is a true Luxette -- starting out as a client, she loved MiniLuxe and progressed through the ranks of Front Desk Associate, Store Manager, and Area Manager. She is now responsible for managing our inventory, electronic management systems, and human resources.

  • Jennifer Tang

    Area Manager

    Jennifer Tang started our Manager of Recruiting, Staffing & Human Resources in March 2011 and became the Area Manager in November 2011. Prior to joining us, Ms. Tang was at the U.S. Department of Transportation, where she worked as an Operations Analyst.

    Jennifer graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2009 and has a dual degree in Civil Engineering and Management Science and a minor in Economics.

  • Andrew Ervin

    SVP of Finance, Administration, and Supply Chain

    Andrew joined the MiniLuxe team in 2012. Prior to joining MiniLuxe, Andrew held positions at The Parthenon Group, a leading strategic advisory group, where he worked with clients in a wide range of industries to develop growth strategies and assess M&A transactions. Andrew began his career as an actuary at The Liberty Mutual Group. Andrew has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business and a BS from the Pennsylvania State University.

  • Joe Grano

    Chairman and CEO, Centurion Holdings LLC, and Director, MiniLuxe Board of Directors

    Joe Grano is Chairman and CEO of Centurion Holdings LLC, a company that advises private and public companies.

    From 2001–2004, Joe was Chairman of UBS Financial Services Inc. (formerly UBS PaineWebber). In 2002, he was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as the Chairman of the Homeland Security Advisory Council. He held that position until August 2005. Joe joined PaineWebber in February 1988 as President of Retail Sales and Marketing, and became President of PaineWebber Group in December 1994. As President, he oversaw a series of important and dramatic restructurings at the firm, including the acquisition of Kidder, Peabody in 1995 and J.C. Bradford in 2000. Joe was instrumental in helping to bring about the merger of PaineWebber with UBS in 2000 and from 2001 until 2004 he served as Chairman and CEO of the combined entity. Prior to joining PaineWebber, Joe was with Merrill Lynch for 16 years, holding various senior management positions including Director of National Sales. In 1987, he was named the industry’s best retail marketing executive in a survey conducted by Investment Dealers’ Digest. Joe was Chairman of the Board of Governors of the NASD and a member of the NASD’s Executive Committee. He served in the U.S. Special Forces (Green Berets) and became one of the Army’s youngest officers, achieving the rank of Captain.

  • Mats Lederhausen

    Special General Partner, The Cue Ball Group and CEO, BECAUSE, LLC.

    Mats Lederhausen is a Special General Partner with Cue Ball and is also CEO of his own private investment holding company, BECAUSE, LLC.

    Mats has been actively involved with Cue Ball since the firm’s inception and brings to the firm deep consumer industry and operating experience, particularly in brands and multi–unit restaurant concepts. Most recently, Mats served as Managing Director of McDonald’s Ventures. Mats serves on the boards of Sylvan Learning Centers, ITRIM, and Chairman of ROTI Mediterranean Grill. Mats earned a degree in Business Administration from Bromma Gymnasium and a Masters of Science from Stockholm School of Economics.

  • Anthony K. Tjan

    General Partner, The Cue Ball Group and Chairman, MiniLuxe Board of Directors

    Anthony (Tony) Tjan is CEO and General Partner of The Cue Ball Group, MiniLuxe’s founding firm.

    Tony brings to Cue Ball and MiniLuxe a successful track record as an entrepreneur, principal investor, and strategic advisor. Tony leads the firm’s overall direction and is involved with all deal development and structuring activities. Tony is one of the World Economic Forum’s Global Leaders for Tomorrow and sits on the boards of MiniLuxe, Knovel, Cyberplex, Cruxy, and From the Top. Tony holds and A.B. from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

  • Kevin Wilson

    Senior Managing Director, Envest and Director, MiniLuxe Board of Directors

    Kevin Wilson is a Senior Managing Director of Envest Ventures. Kevin has a strong background in franchising, strategic consulting, corporate executive leadership, successful entrepreneurship and private equity management.

    Kevin began his career as a consultant at Bain & Company; co–founded Benny’s Bagels, a successful chain of 28 stores; served as CEO of South African Airway’s Technical; and before joining Envest was Senior Managing Director of Discovery Americas I, a $50 million private equity fund based in Mexico City, Mexico. He holds a business degree from the University of Western Ontario.
